Online German Group Courses
New group courses starting from January 2026 – enrollment now open!
Christmas offer:
129 Euro / month
This course is designed for learners at A2–B1 level who already understand a lot of German, but still find it difficult to express themselves freely when speaking.
In class, we focus on expanding your active vocabulary and building fluency in guided conversations, so you can speak with more ease and confidence.
The focus of this course is not on teaching grammar, but on developing your conversational skills and helping you use words and structures you already understand, but don’t yet use spontaneously.
Each class is organized around a central topic, for example health, education, work, family, nature or travel.
The lessons are divided into two phases: an input phase and an output phase. During the input phase, I introduce the topic through short videos and audio material, as well as reading texts and targeted vocabulary work.
In the output phase, you will be guided through structured speaking tasks and questions, so you can actively use what you have just learned in practice. Where helpful, I give individual feedback on pronunciation and common problem areas to ensure you make steady progress in every lesson.
Course format: monthly package, 4 meetings per month, 2 hours per meeting
Schedule: start on first Sunday of each month; 16:00-18:00 (CET)
Group size: min 5 max 8 persons
January dates: Sun 04 / 11 / 18 / 25 January
Package price: 129 Euro (total 8 hours)
You can join the course on the first Sunday of each month.
To sign up, please send me a short e-mail with the following information: your name, native language, country of residence, and your preferred starting month.
Write to: stefanie@german-pro.com
I will then send you your personal registration form and answer any questions you may have.

This course is based on my book German Grammar for Self-Study A1–B1 and is designed for beginning learners who would like more guided practice while working through the first half of the book (modules A1 and A2).
The aim of this course is to improve the accuracy and correctness of your German — not fluency. Therefore, it is best combined with my conversational classes, which focus specifically on fluency and free speaking.
Each session focuses on a specific grammar topic that we practise extensively in class.
To make good use of our class time, students are asked to study the relevant chapters independently before each session. This allows us to use the live classes for systematic grammar practice, sentence-building exercises, error correction, and focused troubleshooting based on your questions and difficulties.
I will provide a full-colour digital version of the materials we will study.

You didn't find a course that fits you?
Please write me an email describing the type of course that you are looking for, your preferred level and lesson times (based on Central European time). New courses will be starting every month and I am happy to listen to students preferences and wishes!

Are you planning to work for a German company – or are you already working in German as a professional expat?
How do I sign up and how does payment work?
If you are interested in joining one of my courses, please send me an email (stefanie@german-pro.com) and let me know which class you would like to sign up for, along with your name, native language, country of residence, and preferred starting month. I will then answer any remaining questions and send you a personal registration form to fill in your details. Once I receive your form, I will send you a payment request via PayPal. You can also pay using any other method you prefer (e.g., bank transfer, Wise, credit card, etc.). The PayPal link allows you to choose your preferred payment option. Your registration becomes final once your payment has been received. After that, I will send you the lesson materials and the Zoom link by email, and you are ready to begin.
How are the courses different from other language classes?
In many online language schools, group sizes are large, which means most students get little time to speak or receive correction. You also often do not know in advance who your teacher will be, and in some cases teachers change frequently.
I am not a complex organization with an enormous number of anonymous and constantly changing students. I am one individual teacher who can focus her full attention on her classes and her students, which allows me to build a personal working relationship (and accountability) with everyone. Many of my students have been learning with me for years or know me from my grammar video series on YouTube, so the personal aspect of harmonizing with a teacher’s personality matters to them.
Group size is limited to a maximum of eight participants, which allows us to work in a focused, structured, and genuinely interactive way.
Each course lasts only one month. Does that mean we will cover one level in one month?
No. Every student progresses at a different pace. Each level runs on a continuous basis, which means you can join a level at the start of any month and continue working at that level for as many months as you find necessary. The course content does not repeat each month; it builds on what the group covered in the previous month, but always stays within the scope of the given level. When you feel that the material is starting to challenge you less, you can move up to the next level after a short consultation with me, and remain there for as long as you need.
Do your courses prepare me for an exam?
That depends on you. Everything you learn in my classes is relevant for all major exams (e.g., Goethe or Telc), but we do not specifically train exam formats or model tests. However, if there is enough interest, I offer separate exam preparation courses based on student demand. These courses will be published on this website as well, so it is best to check back regularly.
Is there a trial lesson or introductory call?
Not in the usual sense. Each course interval is deliberately limited to one month at a time, which gives you maximum flexibility if you decide to leave the course on a monthly basis. If, for any reason, you are genuinely unhappy with the course and wish to cancel after the first lesson, you can email me and explain your concerns. I will always try to find a fair solution for both sides, and refunds may be possible on a case-by-case basis. If you are unsure whether the course matches your level, you are welcome to send me a short message with your learning background. I will give you an honest assessment.
What additional materials will I receive?
The grammar courses are based on my book German Grammar for Self-Study. You will receive full-colour PDFs of the current month’s content in advance by email. Additional practice sheets and other exercise materials (also for the conversational courses) are shared in each class and uploaded to a Google Drive folder, where you can access them at any time. All materials are included in the course fee and are for personal use only. Unauthorised sharing or redistribution is not permitted.
What are the technical requirements?
You need a stable internet connection, a quiet environment and a laptop or desktop computer with a camera and microphone (ideally a headset for better voice quality). Please avoid joining from a smartphone or tablet; the screen size makes it very difficult to participate actively. Classes take place via Zoom. You do not need to install anything if you prefer not to — joining through your browser works perfectly well.
What if I miss a session?
My classes are not casual conversation rounds, and we cover a substantial amount of material in each session. If you miss a class, I strongly recommend working through the relevant chapter on your own so that you can follow the next lesson without difficulty. You can contact me with brief follow-up questions if needed, and all class materials will be shared by email. Please note that sessions are not recorded, so there is no replay video. If you already expect frequent scheduling conflicts, it may be better to join a later course instead.
What behaviour is expected from the students?
This is an important part of the course. As a teacher, I take care to treat everyone with respect and individual attention, offering support but also challenging students to grow. In return, I expect all participants to show respect and consideration for one another during class. Please read my Code of Conduct before joining the course.
